Mera Bay, a deep cove, has been a port town that has flourished as a wind waiting harbor since ancient times. The place where the sailors looked at the weather to decide on the departure of the ship is called Mt. Hiyoriyama. From there, you can overlook the harbor and Suruga Bay, and it is a superb view where you can see mysterious geological formations. In addition, a group of stone Buddhas (33 Statues of Kannon) are enshrined in a semi-cave. You can get a glimpse of people's lives and culture in the past in the spectacular scenery of nature.
